The UTProbes.com site makes it simple and easy to select ultrasonic probes and ultrasonic transducers used in non-destructive testing (NDT). There are four ways to find the ultrasonic probes and transducers that best suits your needs. Whether you’re new to the field or an NDT expert, this easy-to-navigate site streamlines the process of choosing from more than 600 standard ultrasonic probes and transducers that GE offers.
Phased Array Probes
GE manufactures a wide variety of phased array ultrasonic transducers for use with Phasor XS and other ultrasonic flaw detectors. 33 standard phased array ultrasonic transducers cover a broad application spectrum and are stocked and available with short delivery times. All these probes offer three connector options and are manufactured to GE’s high quality standards.
Conventional Array Probes
The RotoArray is a portable, manually operated, phased array, ultrasonic inspection device which can be connected to any suitable phased array flaw detection instrument to allow rapid scanning of a wide variety of materials and components. Well suited for scanning composite and aluminum aerospace components, the RotoArray can provide A,B, & C-scan images that are achieved with the simplicity of a handheld probe and with performance rivaling that of a full immersion C-scan system.
New materials, manufacturing processes and joining technologies require ultrasonic special probes. GE offers numerous ultrasonic probes for the testings of laserwelds, spotwelds, rails, axles, tubes, gas bottles, billets and others using immersion, water jet, dry or standard coupling methods.
With the practical and powerful ultrasonic wall thickness probes you are able to solve a variety of inspection tasks.
We provide for example corrosion probes with dual-element transducers for the primary inspection of remaining walls of components such as oil & gas pipelines, power pressure vessels, storage tanks, and numerous other applications. Precision probes with single-element transducers provide the thinnest range and highest degree of accuracy. Common applications include metals and a variety of non-metals (i.e. glass, ceramic, plastic, etc.).
Because of the variety of our probes and instruments we are able to offer the best solution for your specific application.
